A quickly growing jihadist group that used Facebook to spread its radical message has been shut down by the popular Web networking site after FOXNews.com alerted the company to the group’s activities.
I have to be honest, these are the types of things I initially write off as “silly.” However, online life is real life nowadays, and it’s good to see Facebook on top of these things.
The terrorist siege in Mumbai killed 195 and wounded 295, but they were hoping for more:
Azam Amir Kasab, 21, the only terrorist to survive a raid by Indian commandos, told authorities that the attacks included 10 terrorists in a heavily orchestrated plan devised six months ago, that hoped to kill 5,000 people — targeting mostly “whites, preferably Americans and British,” the Mail reported.
It was a bloody mess, but it could’ve been so much worse.
The siege continues, and I’m not sure it’s getting any better.
Black-clad Indian commandoes raided two luxury hotels to try to free hostages Thursday, and explosions and gunshots shook India’s financial capital a day after attacks by suspected Muslim militants killed at least 119 people.

Not all Muslims are terrorists. Heck, I’d be willing to concede that the majority of Muslims in the world are looking to live a peaceful existence and mind their own business. However, there seems to be a group of people out there that don’t want religion to be considered when talking about terrorism, which is a mistake.
Not all Muslims are terrorists, but the ones that are seem to do what they do out of religious zealotry. Until we accept that and try to understand that mindset, we will lose the war on terror.
This woman is going to end up dead before her time (God forbid!), but the fact that she still goes out and speaks her heart when it’d be fine to remain in hiding should earn darn near everyone’s respect!

The Silent Jihad Against The West

There was an episode of The Simpsons several years ago that was set in the future. In it, Marge comments, “You know, Fox turned into a hardcore porn channel so gradually I didn’t even notice.” Sadly, I suspect we have something similar happening with Sharia in the west; it starts with a bunch of things, like Sharia Finance, that seem harmless. Before you know it, we’re all Dhimmis.

Update 3/29/08: Well, if you’ve hit “play” on the video above, you know LiveLeak took the video down to protect the safety of its employees. Understandable, but to quote Robert Spencer, “‘In the end the price was too high’ could be the epitaph of the Free West.”
However, if you haven’t seen Fitna yet, you still have options. First, it’s on both Google Video & YouTube, though it may not last in either place for too long.

Former terrorists Walid Shoebat, Kamal Saleem and Zak Anani addressed cadets at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, during their annual political forum. They shared their experiences as terrorists and helped cadets understand the Islamic fundamentalist mind set.
During the event a Jordanian college student, identified as Omar Khalifa of Metro International, approached Kamal Saleem and spoke to him in Arabic, “you are an enemy of Islam and you must die.” The incident was reported to Military Police, who investigated Khalifa’s threat.

The Archbishop of Canterbury says the adoption of certain aspects of Sharia law in the UK “seems unavoidable”.
Dr Rowan Williams told Radio 4′s World at One that the UK has to “face up to the fact” that some of its citizens do not relate to the British legal system.
Dr Williams argues that adopting parts of Islamic Sharia law would help maintain social cohesion.
For example, Muslims could choose to have marital disputes or financial matters dealt with in a Sharia court.
He says Muslims should not have to choose between “the stark alternatives of cultural loyalty or state loyalty”.
